For over 15 years, CDL Systems has provided an industry-leading control station software, VCS (Vehicle Control Station), for unmanned air, land, and sea vehicles. We have been committed to the engineering, development, and integration of VCS for a diverse group of international clients. As the industry rapidly evolves with new applications constantly emerging, we've made it our priority to be on the forefront of unmanned control solution development. Not only have we developed a commercial off-the-shelf control solution, we also support NATO STANAG 4586.

Most widely known for our longstanding relationship with the U.S. Army, our software (VCS) has amassed more than 400,000 hours of operation use with the RQ-7B Shadow 200 and over 80,000 hours with the MQ-5B Hunter . This number will continue to grow as the  U.S. Army deploys the MQ-1C Sky Warrior for use in Iraq and Afghanistan using our software, VCS-4586, in all One System Ground Control Stations (OSGCS). If you are using CloudCap's Piccolo autopilot, we have a VSM for use with our software, VCS-4586. For more information, give us a call at +1.403.289.1733 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

In use since the mid 1990's, our software (VCS) has been used to control aerial and sea-surface targets with Meggitt Training Systems Canada's Universal Target Control Station (UTCS). Used to control multiple targets or varying types from one, or multiple ground control stations, VCS for UTCS has been used to operate 16 vehicles simultaneously. CDL Systems has been a leading participant and pioneering member of the NATO STANAG 4586 interoperability standard since its pre-feasibility study conducted in 1998. Engineered and developed to the STANAG 4586 protocol, our software VCS-4586 is a commercial ground control station software used to operate unmanned vehicles of varying types from one common user interface.Click Here to learn more about STANAG 4586.
