CDL Systems co-founder receives prestigious recognition from AUVSI Foundation

WASHINGTON – 13 August 2009 – CDL Systems Ltd. (CDL) is proud to announce that co-founder and CTO, Mr. Dave Weiler, has been awarded the AUVSI Foundation 2009 Pioneer Award for his exceptional contribution to pioneering unmanned vehicle technology. Mr. Weiler was presented the award at a ceremony during this year’s AUVSI’s Unmanned Systems North America conference in Washington, D.C. He shares the distinction with previous recipients including Helen Greiner, co-founder of iRobot Corporation, Scott Myers, president of General Dynamics Robotic Systems and COL Rick Lynch, U.S. Army. CDL Systems announces the opening of U.S. Office in Huntsville, Alabama

CALGARY – 6 August 2009 – CDL Systems Ltd. (CDL), the world-leader in the engineering of operator software used for the command and control of unmanned vehicle systems announces the opening of its new U.S. office. Led by Patrick Laney, the U.S. operations will promote growth and broaden CDL’s presence in the U.S. and enable CDL to more closely support existing clients such as the U.S. Army. As U.S. Operations & Business Development Manager, Mr. Laney brings a unique set of skills to CDL. Holding an MBA from MIT and having led a graduate research project on human automation for unmanned systems, Mr. Laney possesses a strong understanding of the business and technical factors driving the UAS industry. He has eleven years of naval aviation and 43 combat missions to his name and is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN). For the full press release click here.
